SYRINGA DENTAL AND IMPLANTS

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign® uses the most advanced digital technology to create a full model of your teeth. Based on that, the system designs a series of trays, constructed of clear, medical-grade plastic. These trays fit comfortably over your teeth, and gradually mold them into the shape you desire.

Unlike the common type of Braces, the Invisalign® trays are almost invisible to the eye. As you switch sets of aligners about every two weeks, your teeth will be gradually, gently guided to their proper positions. You will also visit our Post Falls office on a regular basis during treatment to make certain that your smile is progressing as planned.

Is Invisalign® for me?

The Invisalign® technology has proven to be most appealing to our teenage patients, but they could work for every member of your family. Recent progress has also shown that the Invisalign® braces can provide an effective solution for plenty of other dental issues as well. Provide Support for an Existing Bridge or Denture

Before Invisalign

On your first visit to our Post Falls practice, you and your Dental Specialist will discuss your expectations. During your initial visit, we will determine whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign®.

This treatment is often a good choice for adult patients and others who are interested in a virtually invisible Orthodontic treatment. In addition to being discreet, Invisalign aligners are also very comfortable because they are custom made from smooth, thin plastic. The aligners are removable as well, which allows you to easily remove them as needed in order to eat, brush, and floss.

Your provider will walk you through every step of a customized plan, tailor-made for your needs and smile. Once you approve this plan, your first sets of aligners will be manufactured by our colleagues at the Invisalign® lab.

Invisalign Results

With these first aligners, your treatment has officially taken off! To achieve the best results, you must wear each of your aligners for about 20-22 hours a day. Feel free to temporarily remove them for eating, drinking, and your daily dental hygiene routine.

At first, as you get used to your new aligners, you may feel a little bit of discomfort. It may also feel like your teeth are looser than usual. Both of this is perfectly normal, and part of the process. As your teeth shift, your gums are healing and reshaping themselves around your teeth. If the discomfort does resolve or feels unusually painful, feel free to contact your Post Falls Invisalign® team.

Unlike regular braces, you can drink and eat anything you want during the process. Drinking and smoking may cause staining, so this should be avoided. Before chewing gum or snacking, you should best remove your aligners. Don’t forget to put your aligners back in after each meal break.

As you switch sets of aligners about every two weeks, your teeth will be gradually, gently guided to their proper positions. You will also visit our office on a regular basis during treatment to make certain that your smile is progressing as planned.

While every patient’s journey is different, the Invisalign® process takes on average 12-18 months. You’ll start seeing the first results in a matter of weeks already.

Follow-Up Care

As soon as you finish your Invisalign® treatment, our dental team may recommend the use of a retainer to prevent your teeth from moving back to how they were. There are many options available, including nearly invisible systems that resemble the aligners you’ve been using.

Once your teeth get used to your new situation, you can start wearing your retainers less, and eventually only when you sleep. Our expert Post Falls Invisalign® team will work with you to maintain your results and protect this new smile of yours.
